Do you and your organization want to be on the frontlines of innovation? Then consider becoming part of the 2nd annual LeadingAge HackFest.

The HackFest takes place at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel on Oct. 18-20, 2014 in conjunction with the LeadingAge Annual Meeting and Expo.

The Asbury Group and Ziegler are primary sponsors of the event.

What is a HackFest?

The LeadingAge HackFest challenges teams of 4-6 participants to “Engage with Age.” Team members work together during a frenetic 24-hour period to brainstorm, develop, design, implement and market a technology-driven tool aimed at improving the lives of older adults and their families.

Tools may include software applications, websites, interactive online experiences or devices.

The winning HackFest team receives a $5,000 Grand Prize. Two runner-up teams receive $2,000 each. The team that captures the People’s Choice Award wins $1,000. The Asbury Group donates all cash prizes.

How Can LeadingAge Members and CAST Associates Support HackFest?

LeadingAge Members and CAST Associates have an important role to play in making HackFest a success. Here’s how:

Promote HackFest internally. We hope Leading Aging Members will promote HackFest within their organizations and encourage staff to volunteer as coaches.

Promote HackFest externally. LeadingAge Members and CAST Associates can promote the HackFest through their web sites and blogs. Please consider:

Become a Hackfest patron or champion. This will give you increased visibility at the HackFest event. Find out more by reviewing our Promotional Package Application or emailing Margaret Wanca-Daniels.
